ABOUT ME
In the end of 2010 after graduating from high school at Rosslyn Academy, I took a gap semester where I busied myself with events, marketing, and productions jobs where they found me. Being a "theater kid", during this time I would work on my first film and fall in love with both acting and producing film. As 2011 rolled around I would be the beginning of my self discovery as an artist.

By 2014, after 3 and 1/2 years of travel and transfers, I graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a MAJOR IN THEATER ARTS, and a MINOR IN MUSIC. Taking every extracurricular opportunity given, I delved in to every show I could handle with my already full college load.
From Stage Management to Intermediate Acting Classes to Screenwriting, a degree from a theater, tv, and film department in Los Angeles was a dream come true. I have no regrets!

By the start of 2015 I had moved to West Hollywood to pursue acting and producing more effectively at the source in the city of Angels.

Soon after graduation I was fortunate enough to begin working on my first big-budget feature working with some of the industry's top artists including directing duo Jon and Andy Erwin, producing powerhouse Kevin Downes, as well as A-list actors Sean Astin, John Voight, Sherry Shepherd, and more.
Working such a big budget film so early in my career would redefine the way I looked at film and film production all together.
Short Film: The Other Brother
(2015)
Position: 2nd Assistant Director
After Woodlawn other jobs in the AD Department came my way and that's where I would find a deep love for producing. Meanwhile as mid 2015 approached, opportunities for growth and investment in the Kenyan arts industry was becoming more and more appealing. Before I left the US, I was worked an assistant director's capacity in a short film featuring Jim Hanks called 'The Other Brother' (left) and a children's education tv series called 'Drawing Biblical Connections'.
Back in Kenya at the end of 2015 I thought to ease back into the flow with a 48 hour film project competition with some friends where we created 'All for Mike' (right). These connections would be vital for my integration back into Kenya and for that dramatic project, I'm still grateful.
48 Hour Film Project: All For Mike
(2015)
Position: 2nd Assistant Director
Hungry and eager, I followed up on leads searching to teach acting where I could; that's when I found a performing arts school called Invisible Crown. Under this unique curriculum, our goals was not only to nurture talent but confidence too.
Grateful for the opportunities to share what little I had learned and learning from the little ones who shared, I decided to venture on my own and and try my own acting workshops, Gathoni Mutuas Acting Workshop (GMAW).
Around that time in 2016, I was hired as the Executive Producer and Head Writer at radio personality Andrew Kibe's production company, Parallel Media Limited. Although I would only be there a very short time, I was responsible for creating a lot of original content. from TV shows and fillers, to YouTube videos, commercials, as well as handling our corporate events; the list goes on and on. Despite the amount of time at Parallel Media, the on-the-job-learning was invaluable work that I still use in my work to this day.
Web Series: Because Love
(2017)
Position: Assistant Director
As the year came to a close I would continue to build my portfolio in the AD Department with a high-quality cast and production webseries called 'Because Love' (left). I also delved into the world of Kenyan Television Commercials with a challenging but ultimately brilliant liquor commercial (right).

2017 would bring back the opportunity to return to the theater by ways of the classic musical 'Joseph and the Technicolor Dream Coat'. Starehe Boys and Girls School, long known for their long traditions in theater, asked me to join them as the musical's Co-Producer and Director.
With under 6 weeks to opening, I put together everything I had learned over the years about events, acting, producing, writing, and teaching and put on one of the first successful productions the school has seen in years -- some called it a revival
